A brief history of the Minneapolis & St. Louis mainline from Minneapolis to Mason City:

06/26/21

One of the few remaining historic bridges in Carver County is this large concrete arch crossing Bluff Creek.
Built in 1901 as part of the Chaska Hill project, the bridge replaced a massive wooden trestle. According to a track chart, the bridge is a stone arch.
However, the author could find no evidence of this during a field visit.
Currently, the bridge consists of a large concrete arch, which remains in good condition.

The author has ranked this bridge as being moderately significant, due to the common design but lack of historic bridges in Carver County.
The photo above is an overview. The bridge can easily be seen from Minnesota Highway 101.
